    Hands Cleaners have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Contract  Manager to join our dynamic team.  This permanent position is well suited to a person looking to advance their career in supervision/management and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.  This position is for 30 hours per week looking after contracts in the Nottingham area.  The post has a  good rate of pay. A company car, phone and tablet will be provided


    • Supervising day to day running of company contracts under your remit, arranging site visits to see both clients and cleaning operatives, audits
    • Interviewing applicants for vacant cleaning positions for contracts in your remit
    • Organising cover for holidays and absences
    • Maintain company policies and procedures
    • Complete required paperwork daily
    • Ordering and delivering stores to sites and maintaining stock levels
    • Paying of wages to cleaning operatives (fortnightly)


    • Knowledge of the cleaning industry is advantageous but not essential
    • Good communication skills
    • Basic computer skills
    • Excellent people management  and organisational skills
    • Clean driving licence.

    Job Title:               Industrial Manager

    Reporting To:     Operations Director

    Job Purpose:  Consult, review and identify each clients requirements.  Maintain specification to satisfy client needs.  Operate all areas of responsibility, to ISO 9001:2000 standards.  Ensure safe working practices.  Develop the business and enhance our reputation as the leaders in Industrial Cleaning in our region.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Source, manage and maintain reliable subcontractors of industrial work
    • Respond to Customers enquiries, develop specifications and obtain quotations from sub contractors where appropriate
    • Document risk assessments & method statement
    • Calculate costs and confirm quotation to clients.
    • Plan and allocate industrial work to subcontractors & direct employees
    • Monitor quality and performance of subcontractors, approve work completed and authorise payment
    • Organise and control output of direct employed industrial operatives and authorise payment of wages for work completed
    • Monitor performance of industrial operatives, appraise and administer the Company discipline code, where appropriate
    • Recruit industrial operatives and ensure they carry out their duties in accordance with the Company objectives
    • Organise and control contracts to operate to specification and operating budget
    • Monitor quality and performance of Hands Industrial staff and ensure the maintenance of the highest standards
    • Co-ordinate subordinates and maintain records of quality control, complaints, absence and staff turnover
    • Make decisions within area of authority, monitor and record their affect
    • Maintain contact with key customers in accordance with the Customer Care Programme
    • Identify and secure new customers, specify their needs and agree charges
    • Plan and budget for future development of area in accordance with Company objectives

    Salary/Remuneration:    Negotiable
